This piece was inspired by a weekend away with my partner up the east coast of Australia to celebrate a friend's birthday. I wanted do develop an illustration that captured the feeling of floating and evaporating like the bubbles from the champagne glasses we were enjoying (perhaps, a little too much). I decided to use a colour scheme that reflected the evening sun to show how our celebrations continued from day to night. I wanted to show the mood of the celebrations in an illustration. The people and atmosphere were full of freedom and happiness. It was a very magical time.
